Chapter 171 Pseudoscientific President Jin
Chapter 171 Pseudoscientific President Jin
"What means?"
"I borrowed Mr. Jin's money and tactfully told everyone that he said he dislikes people who don't actively participate in company activities."
"You're quite capable of forging an imperial decree." An Qi patted her shoulder in appreciation, and she and Tang Xin giggled together. Suddenly, they felt a cold light approaching from behind them. They turned to look back, and sure enough, the man's condescending eyes were gloomy and cold.
The two people, who had been laughing smugly, suddenly froze. As expected, one shouldn't do something that's wrong. After being caught in the act, Tang Xin stuck out her tongue, silently turned her head, and pulled An Qi away from the Big Boss's sight as quietly as possible.
After the sports meet, the principal called a meeting. It wasn't anything special, just Jin Tae-jae telling everyone that there would be prizes for the top three finishers in each event.
Based on past experience, participation was mandatory, with no prizes offered. They'd thought it was just a fun game, but they hadn't expected rewards. But the surprise wasn't limited to that. When CEO Jin announced the prizes, which included beauty devices, new cell phones, and even home appliances, everyone gasped in amazement. They'd found a wealthy sponsor.
Tang Xin was not only happy because she had won a prize, but more importantly, Jin Taize was so generous this time. She believed that she would not have to bother mobilizing people when organizing any activities in the future. Everyone would try their best to participate. Just thinking about it made her happy.
The students had a holiday in the afternoon, which gave the teachers half a day off. Together with the weekend, it was two and a half days off. Everyone was so happy that they got off work especially quickly.
In the blink of an eye, all the offices were empty.
Jin Taize walked over to the General Affairs Office and saw Tang Xin packing her things. He walked over and asked her, "You won first place in the three-legged race. How are you going to thank me?"
Tang Xin stopped what she was doing and glanced at him sideways, not really caring. "There are so many people in our team, and you didn't just help me. Why do you ask me for thanks?"
"That makes sense," Jin Taize nodded in agreement and turned to think seriously, "But I remember it was me who tied the ribbon for us."
How could Tang Xin not understand the cunningness beneath his pretended innocent appearance, and how he was taking credit for himself in his words and deeds?
"You call this a merit? You don't think I can't even tie a scarf." Tang Xin sneered, too lazy to argue with him, and walked out with her bag on her back.
Her arm was stopped by him, and Jin Taize's eyes met hers. "That's not the case, it's just that the scarf I chose is good." He curled his lips proudly, "Red, auspicious."
She had never thought that Mr. Jin, a dignified man, would come up with such a pseudo-scientific reason. She suddenly smiled, leaned in close to him and winked mischievously, "I didn't expect that Mr. Jin's side job was to be a charlatan."
She shook off his hand and walked out.
It would have been better if she hadn't said it. She actually disliked that scarf at the time. Everyone else's scarf was light-colored, but her ankle scarf was particularly eye-catching.
Jin Taize smiled, not annoyed by her sarcasm. She wasn't completely off base. During the competition, when he bent down to tie the ribbon, the red ribbon fluttered in the wind around their ankles, like a red string tied by a matchmaker.
"I'm on my way, I'll take you home." Jin Taize followed.
Tang Xin looked at him strangely. It was rare for him to speak to her in such a nice tone after hearing what he said about her.
"No, are you free?" Tang Xin glanced at him and said in a lingering voice, "I'm not free yet."
Jin Taize frowned. This was not the right tone. If it was because of the joke he just made, she wouldn't be so upset now.
Jin Taize put his hand on the stair railing and blocked her way. "Where are you going?"
"You didn't tell me what you were going to do, why should I tell you!" Tang Xin pulled his arm, but it didn't have any effect of shaking him.
The man glared at him angrily, looking down at him, raising his eyebrows in a ruffian manner, secretly provoking him.
"Talk before you leave." He didn't know what caused her temper, but it was definitely directed at him.
