Chapter 40 Dreamlike Speed

Chapter 40 Dreamlike Speed

Shinjo and Daigo piloted the Flying Swallow over Kyuroryo Island. They initially thought the equipment was working properly, but it suddenly malfunctioned and encountered strong electromagnetic waves. They had to switch to manual control, so Shinjo took over.

Da Gu said, "I have already let go."

Shinjo said, "Daigo, it's still no use."

"Ahhh!" The two fell into the sea.

In this busy hospital corridor, a woman stood out conspicuously. Her brow was furrowed, and her eyes revealed undisguised anxiety. Her steps were hurried and disordered, as if each step was a race against time.

Mayumi finally found her brother Shinjo and his colleague Daigo. All three survived the accident, but each suffered injuries of varying degrees.

Daigo's left hand was bleeding profusely, while Shinjo's left leg was severely swollen, and every movement was accompanied by excruciating pain.

Mayumi, this resilient and optimistic woman, squatted down, her hand unconsciously patting Shinjo's injured left leg, her eyes filled with excitement and relief.

Her voice trembled slightly, but more than that, it was filled with a relieved joy: "Ah, that's great, brother, your foot is still there."

Despite the excruciating pain, Shinjo couldn't help but laugh out loud. He struggled, trying to break free from Mayumi's "treatment," complaining, "Ouch, you're crazy, stop it, it hurts!" His words carried an affectionate reproach, but his eyes revealed a deep love for his sister.

As time passed, the rescue team arrived at the scene and began treating the injured and handling the aftermath. Mayumi and Shinjo were placed in a makeshift tent and sat on simple chairs.

The surrounding area was filled with the busy figures of rescue workers and the groans of the wounded, but none of this seemed to bother them.

Mayumi began asking Shinjo for details about the accident, her eyes filled with concern. Shinjo, however, tried to answer in a lighthearted tone, not wanting his sister to worry too much.

Their conversation was filled with the warmth of family affection; even in such difficult times, they could find solace in each other.

"You really scared me to death back then, you know?" Mayumi said softly, tears welling up in her eyes.

Shinjo smiled and gently patted Mayumi's hand: "I'm fine, aren't I? Don't worry, we'll all be alright."

Mayumi spoke first: "When I heard about the accident involving the Flying Swallow, you have no idea how worried I was. I thought I would never see you again." Mayumi covered her face with her hands and cried.

Xincheng comforted him, "Don't worry, your brother won't die so easily from a fall, not until you wear a wedding dress and get married."

Mayumi lowered her hands, no longer covering her face, and said, "This day is coming."

Mayumi smiled and took out her lover's envelope, turning to show it to Shinjo, saying, "Look, this is a letter from Usagi. He's back in Japan to participate in a competition, and he said he wants to meet you. I'm going to the airport to pick him up tonight."

Mayumi stood up, ready to leave, and said, "He's coming back on National Steel Airlines flight 206. I'm leaving."

Mayumi had barely left when Daigo came over with a tray carrying three drinks: two orange juices and one coconut milk. He saw Mayumi was about to leave, and hurriedly left without even drinking the drink prepared for her.

Shinjo's sentiments deeply touched the emotional bond between him and Mayumi. His words revealed a profound sense of longing and blessings for his sister's future.

We can further expand this scene by adding details and emotions, while introducing new characters to add new layers to the story.

Shinjo's gaze softened and became distant. He recalled the days when he protected Mayumi, when she always depended on him, and now, she was about to embark on her own new life.

His voice carried a hint of reluctance and pride: "When she was little, Mayumi was often bullied, and I always protected her. Now she is going to run into someone else's arms."

Xincheng's heart was filled with complex emotions, like a father watching his daughter, whom he had carefully nurtured for many years, about to get married.

Mayumi looked at her brother, tears welling in her eyes. She knew that Shinjo had always been her biggest supporter.

She gently held Xincheng's hand, as if silently telling him that no matter where she went, Xincheng's place in her heart would never change.

Just then, Duolue, a man who always carried a hint of mystery and humor, was already crouching nearby, seemingly waiting for this special moment.

His appearance always surprised people, yet brought a touch of joy.

Duolue smiled, a mischievous glint in his eyes, and said, "In the original story, Mayumi was a little disappointed that she didn't get to drink her third beverage, so I decided to sacrifice myself and help her with that drink."

His words carried a lighthearted and humorous tone.

At this moment, Daigo and Shinjo were each drinking their own cups of orange juice, while the coconut milk that no one was drinking seemed out of place.

Suddenly, Duolue walked over, looked at the two of them, at their orange juice, and then at the untouched coconut milk on the tray. He simply went over and took the coconut milk.

He said, "After I finished my physical examination at the hospital, and coincidentally, I saw you drinking orange juice, and no one was drinking the coconut milk, so I took care of it."

Daigo exclaimed in surprise, "Boss, how come you're here again by such a coincidence? Are you really destined to be with the GUTS team?"

Duolue did not answer.

After finishing his drink, Duolue smiled and said goodbye to Shinjo and Mayumi before leaving.

His departure made the small space quiet again, but his humor and warmth still lingered in the air.

Just then, Daigo's phone rang.

He answered the phone, and Lina's anxious voice came from the other end: "National Steel Airlines Flight 206 bound for Tokyo is experiencing strong electromagnetic interference and is currently out of service."

Daigo's expression immediately turned serious. He looked up at the window and saw a strange black cloud in the sky.

The cloud looked exceptionally ominous, as if foreshadowing an impending disaster.

The scene shifts, and we see a plane flying smoothly in the sky.

This was National Steel Airlines Flight 206, which arrived over Tokyo on time, only to run into a dark cloud formation ahead.

The passengers on the plane began to feel uneasy; some gripped the handrails nervously, while others began to pray.

In this tense moment, a man took a photo pendant out of his pocket, his eyes filled with longing and worry.

This man is Mayumi's boyfriend, Usagi. His heart is filled with love for Mayumi. Looking at the photo of Mayumi, he silently prays that he will see her safely.

As the plane entered the dark clouds, passengers were horrified to discover that it was now enveloped by countless lightning bolts. These lightning bolts emitted a dazzling light, as if they were about to devour the entire plane.

Unfortunately, Duolue wasn't on that flight, and neither was Daigo; no one could save them.

Tu Mo clutched the photo pendant tightly, his eyes filled with fear and resentment. He knew he might never see Mayumi again.

In this moment of despair, he had only one thought in his mind: if he could see Mayumi again, he would tell her how much he loved her.

In order to rescue Usagimo, who was on National Steel Airlines Flight 206, Daigo and Shinjo decided to pilot the Flying Swallow together to the rescue.

Their eyes were filled with determination and resolve. They knew the mission was fraught with danger, but they could not stand idly by.

Daigo gripped the joystick tightly, while Shinjo nervously monitored the dashboard. They shared only one goal: to rescue Usagi and bring him back to Mayumi's side.

Meanwhile, Mayumi, in a cheerful mood, drove her red car to pick up her boyfriend who had come from afar. His favorite rock music was playing in the car, its upbeat rhythm further enhancing her spirits.

As Mayumi drove, she thought about her reunion with Usami. Her heart was filled with anticipation and joy; she couldn't wait to see Usami and tell him how much she had missed him all this time.

However, at that moment, a monster named Gazort flew out from the dark cloud.

Daigo and Shinjo quickly arrived at the scene in the Flying Swallow. Their eyes were filled with tension and determination; they knew this mission was fraught with challenges, but they could not back down.

Daigo stared intently at the radar screen, his brow furrowed, a hint of anxiety in his voice: "The radar has stopped working; we can't find Flight 206." His words revealed his concern for Tumo and the other passengers on the plane.

Shinjo gripped the control stick tightly, his eyes gleaming with determination. He added, "This Gazort is much stronger than the last one. Begin the attack and show the Gazort the might of our Flying Swallow."

Daigo nodded, his eyes filled with determination. They all knew that this mission was not only about Tu Mo's life, but also about their own mission and responsibility.

The Flying Swallow launched missiles to attack Gazot, and a fierce battle ensued in the air.

Gazot's attacks were fierce and cruel, but Daigo and Shinjo did not back down. They bravely fought against Gazot in their Flying Swallow.

On the other side, Mayumi was driving her car and was about to arrive at the airport entrance, her heart filled with anticipation and joy.

She couldn't wait to see Tu Mo and tell him how much she had missed him all this time.

However, at that moment, she was stopped by staff. Mayumi stopped the car, her eyes filled with confusion and anxiety. She told the staff, "I need to get to the airport to pick someone up."

Mayumi's words revealed her urgency and worry; she knew that time was of the essence for her.

She worried that if she missed the time to pick up Tu Mo, she might lose the chance to meet him.

The staff advised, "No! A monster is heading towards the coast; passage is prohibited."

However, Mayumi only put on a show of arrogance at first, and then ignored their group leader and insisted on driving the car forward herself.

Finally, on the way, Mayumi exclaimed, "Usagi-moku, I'll see you soon."

Unexpectedly, another man in front of him bent his elbow at a right angle, palm down, and then shook his wrist up and down to indicate that he should not do that.

That man was Duolue. Seeing that Mayumi was about to run to the airport to die just like in the original story, Duolue pretended to dissuade her when she arrived.

Mayumi ignored him completely and drove off at high speed, completely disregarding him.

"There's no other way, so you'd better obediently trap yourself in my vortex space for now." Duolue used his spacetime ability to trap Mayumi.

Mayumi saw that the environment in front of her was pitch black and there was no gravity. She looked left and right and was immediately startled and frightened.

"Where am I? Where am I? I was just driving to pick up Tu Mo, how did I get stuck here? I need to get out! I need to get out!"

Rest assured, all of this was in vain; she couldn't leave without the enemy's permission.

Duolue pondered, "Mayumi is safely trapped in my vortex space. Daigo and Shinjo are still trying to eliminate Gazort. Also, after the battle ends, Usagi and others will disappear forever. I need to get there as soon as possible to save him with the Healing Fruit and make up for the regrets in the original plot."

Daigo and Shinjo's attacks on Gazort were like tickling an itch, leaving them with no choice but to fly to the radio receiving station to reunite with Horii, Rena, and Munakata.
