Zhao Chi and Tang Yifan walked into the restaurant. The hall was dominated by dark brown wood color, with a dome and wall lamps outlined with gilded lines. Each dining table was separated by a wooden frame and half-person-high potted green plants, forming an independent and transparent small space.

The floor was covered with a soft, dark-patterned carpet, and one could hardly hear any sound when stepping on it. Only the soothing melody played by the pianist could be heard in the distance.

Tang Yifan hadn't seen Qin Mi for more than ten years. Fortunately, Qin Mi loved to post updates, so he knew what Qin Mi looked like now.

Soon he spotted Qin Mi in the corner. She had her back to them, sitting in a booth half-hidden by greenery, her long curly chestnut hair loose.

"Boss, over there." Tang Yifan lowered his voice and signaled with his eyes.

Zhao Chi followed his gaze and saw only a blurry figure and a space across from him completely blocked by greenery. He knew in his heart that Ruan Li must be sitting there.

"Let's go and sit down nearby." Zhao Chi said calmly.

They chose a seat where they could vaguely see Qin Mi's booth.

Zhao Chi ordered the food, but he had no taste for it and his eyes kept drifting towards that corner.

Halfway through lunch time, Zhao Chi felt that the time was almost right, so he stood up, straightened his suit, and pretended to walk towards Qin Mi's booth casually.

Tang Yifan followed closely behind. He was quite curious about what kind of person Xiao Ruan was.

Zhao Chi walked over to the booth, cleared his throat, and prepared to say hello. However, when he saw the scene inside the booth, he was completely stunned.

Qin Mi was the only one in the booth. She was slowly cutting a steak. Exquisite tableware and a bottle of red wine were placed in front of her. A video was playing on her phone. The seat opposite her was empty.
