The End Times as a Song

Chapter 35 Something is wrong

Chapter 35 Something is wrong

Huang Wushang was terrified. He fled while constantly looking back, turning around every ten steps, then every five. He was terrified that Huang Yunlan would catch up and punish him. The path was stained with blood, making it look eerie. Huang Wushang vaguely sensed that someone was following him.

Huang Wu nimbly turned around and hid behind a large rocky mountain in the desolate forest, where he set up a barrier to surround himself before he could vent his anger in peace.

"You, Huang Yunlan, actually relentlessly pursue me...? You think you're a righteous person, yet you try to bully the weak with numbers..."

Huang Wushang glanced behind him again, still uneasy, to see if anyone was still there. He checked several times to make sure no one was following before he finally felt at ease.

Huang Wushang turned around and saw a dark figure. He was so frightened that he trembled and collapsed to the ground. He hurriedly raised the God-Slaying Blade in his hand and tremblingly questioned it.

"Who are you……?"

"Heh... Who am I...? Look at you, you coward, you don't even recognize me anymore?"

The graceful figure in front of her had her back to Huang Wushang and laughed with a sweet voice but a sharp, mocking tone.

"A woman, not Huang Yunlan, nor does she resemble that girl from before. Who exactly are you...? Are you a god or a demon...?"

It was pitch black, and the fog was so thick that he couldn't make out who it was. He grew increasingly frightened and nervously pressed for an answer again.

"Huang Wu Shang, you really don't recognize me...? Think again, who am I...?"

The woman in front of her was stunned by Huang Wushang's stupidity and angrily scolded him.

"You know me...?"

Hearing the other person call his name and not having engaged in any harmful behavior, Aragiri breathed a sigh of relief and asked again.

"Since you don't recognize me, let me remind you: don't forget who gave you the God-Slaying Blade...? Who helped you set up an array to capture the Rat Clan's young master, Huang Yunlan...? What's wrong? Don't you recognize me now...?"

"Oh, I remember now...! It's you...? Lord Xiangyue, but didn't I put up a barrier? How did you get in...?"

Huang Wu Shang patted his head, instantly becoming much more awake, and asked the other person a question.

"Huang Wushang, do you think your low-down tricks can stump me?"

The dark figure in front of him turned around and walked towards Huang Wushang, bending down to stare at him.

"That's right, our Lord Xiangyue is omnipotent, of course nothing can stump our Lord Xiangyue..."

Huang Wushang then got a clear look at the woman in front of him. She was wearing a light purple gauze dress and a purple veil, leaving only a pair of firm, resolute, and piercing eyes.

"Stop flattering me. Looking at your cowardly appearance, you must have messed up the task assigned by your master."

Xiangyue extended her slender, delicate fingers, lifted Huangwu Shang's chin, examined him carefully, and said thoughtfully.

"Lord Xiangyue, spare my life! This time you can't blame me...? You can only blame Huang Yunlan for being too lucky. He was on his last breath, and yet so many people still came to his aid."

Upon hearing this, Huang Wushang swallowed hard and hurriedly begged for mercy and explained.

"Hmph... If you didn't accomplish what Master asked you to do, don't make so many excuses... Are you worried you won't even know how you died...?"

Xiangyue gently lowered Huangwushang's chin, stood up, and spoke softly, much like a gentle yet thorny rose.

"Master, are you trying to kill me to silence me...?"

Huang Wushang took a deep breath, lowered his head in deep thought, and looked grave.

"Heh... Killing you to silence you? Does your worthless life even deserve it...?"

Xiangyue paced back and forth with gentle steps. When she heard Huang Yunlan's words, she stopped and couldn't help but laugh sarcastically.

"What does Master want...? Does Master have some new request for me...?"

Huang Wushang stood up, dusted himself off, and was completely baffled.

"Hara Mist, you do have some cleverness, but I'm warning you, you'd better do what your master tells you to do properly... or else... you should know what the consequences will be...?"

Xiangyue turned around and praised Huangwu.

"Lord Xiangyue, please rest assured. If Master has any instructions, please give them. I, Huangwu Shang, will absolutely not let Master down again..."

Huang Wushang regained his confidence and started making reckless promises and flattering others again.

"Hara Mist, you'd better keep your word... or you can prepare to come to your master with your head at any time, and don't blame your master for not showing any respect for the master-servant relationship..."

As Xiangyue approached Huangwushang step by step, she reminded him not to make any more boastful claims.

"Yes, Lord Xiangyue is right... I will definitely accomplish what Master entrusted to me this time...?"

Huang Wushang seemed very afraid of the woman in front of him. His eyes darted away, and he took several steps back, obsequiously acknowledging the reminder she had given him.

"Araki Hisashi, since you're so confident, come closer..."

Xiangyue raised her slender fingers and beckoned Huangwu Shang to come closer and listen to her new mission.

"Alright...alright...Lord Xiangyue, please give your orders..."

Xiangyue stepped forward and whispered a few words in Huangwushang's ear, revealing a mysterious smile. No one knew what they were plotting.
