Chapter 27
Chapter 27
As night deepens and the wind calms, and I long to return home, all that remains is a river bathed in the bright moonlight, as clear as blue glass.
Nalan Jingwen and Liu Qishan returned together under the moonlight, which cast dappled shadows on the ground.
I got home a little late today. I usually get home around dusk, but today it was completely dark, and the moon and stars were few and far between.
She held Liu Qishan's hand, her steps light and slow, accompanied by the stars.
"Qishan, I'm taking a day off tomorrow."
"Ok, I know."
"Then how about you not go to the free clinic tomorrow?"
Liu Qishan remained silent for a long while before finally saying "Okay".
Nalan Jingwen smiled and looked up at the night sky, thinking that tomorrow would surely be a good day.
Do you know what I just went to get?
Liu Qishan shook his head, but a guess was vaguely in his heart.
When Nalan Jingwen took him to the shop to retrieve something, he didn't specify what it was, but he could clearly sense the mocking gazes of the people in the shop.
He lowered his eyes and pursed his lips, but his hands clenched tighter as he felt the familiar warmth emanating from his palms.
Ever since he confessed his feelings to Nalan Jingwen, she always liked to hold his hand like this. She never said anything, but he could feel her caution and care from these insignificant details.
Although he was blind, he did things just like any other person and didn't feel he needed to be so careful.
But if the person protecting him is her, then he is willing and grateful that he is blind.
This made her constantly worry about him and miss him.
A soft laugh came from beside my ear.
"Is Qishan distracted?"
His teasing tone carried a hint of doting affection.
Liu Qishan understood, and smiled gently, "Didn't you ask me to guess what you just took?"
"Did Qishan guess it?"
Liu Qishan shook his head, "I am truly foolish and hope that you will enlighten me, young lady."
Suddenly, he was pulled into a familiar embrace by a strong force. The embrace was exceptionally warm and had a familiar scent.
He obediently leaned against the woman's chest, his expression slightly lowered, a faint smile playing on his lips.
Her chin was suddenly lifted, forcing her to tilt her head back, and her bright, star-like eyes became somewhat hazy.
As he was filled with doubt, a familiar and alluring scent enveloped him instantly, accompanied by a passionate kiss that ravaged his senses. As their lips met, intimate sounds rang out.
He felt breathless, forced back by the forceful actions, only to be pulled back again and continue to be assaulted by the storm.
His mind was completely blank, and he couldn't muster any thought of resistance. His limbs were weak, and he was held by someone's hands, leaving him no choice but to surrender himself to the other person.
This was the first kiss he had ever shared so formally, and it overwhelmed his senses.
A seductive, deep voice floated in my ears.
"Will you marry me, Qishan?"
Liu Qishan was delirious and nodded in a daze.
Another chuckle.
"How about we get married tomorrow?"
"it is good……"
Nalan Jingwen was in a great mood, a carefree smile on his lips.
"Since that's the case, you can't go back on your word!"
"Ok?"
Liu Qishan was still a little dazed. He could hear what Nalan Jingwen said, but his mind was a mess and he didn't know what it meant, so he could only vaguely agree.
His originally fair cheeks were flushed with an alluring blush, his eyes were watery, his red lips were slightly swollen, and he leaned against the woman's chest, his breath ragged.
Nalan Jingwen's eyes darkened as he suppressed the wild desire surging within him, picked the person up, and carried them deeper into the forest.
Liu Qishan knew where he was. The mountain breeze cleared his mind a little. He was captivated by the scent and the embrace. He wished time could stand still.
"Go to sleep, I'll call you when I get there."
He obediently closed his eyes, and his consciousness began to blur and sink. In a daze, he seemed to see that frail yet beautiful smile again.
The man reached out to him, but then pushed him away...
He is so sad...
My heart aches so much...
Why did you push him away?
"I miss you so much……"
Nalan Jingwen remained silent, staring at the tears sliding down his cheeks, then sighed and reached out to wipe them away.
Her hand was gripped again, with tremendous force, as if she would disappear if she let go.
She could sense his fear and could only comfort him again and again.
"Go to sleep, I'm not leaving."
What is it? It's like a nightmare that's haunting him.
With a sigh, she no longer wished to pressure Liu Qishan, but only hoped that he would open his heart to her and tell her everything in the future.
As dawn broke and the sky gradually brightened, the first light of day appeared.
When Liu Qishan woke up, he subconsciously reached to the side and realized that there was nothing there.
I got out of bed to look for someone, but then I heard the front door being pushed open.
"Young Master Liu, you're finally awake."
Liu Qishan asked warily, "Who are you?"
The men smiled and said, "Today is your big day. We were invited by Miss Jing to do your hair and makeup."
Liu Qishan lowered his eyes in thought, something flashed through his mind, and then, as if remembering something, the tips of his ears began to turn red.
Several men exchanged a smile and began to help him change his clothes and groom himself.
He couldn't see, so he could only let them do as they pleased. When the wedding robe was put on, he touched the unique fabric.
Tencel Cloud Brocade
This fabric is so precious, how could it be found here?
He pondered quietly. Several men looked at the wedding dress and couldn't help but say with envy, "Young Master Liu is truly blessed. I heard that this wedding dress was personally designed by Miss Jing. She had people working day and night to finish it. It's the only one of its kind in the world."
Liu Qishan clutched the smooth hem of her clothes, somewhat dazed.
Is it the only one of its kind in the world?
Is he going to marry her?
Realizing this, my previously calm heart began to pound wildly; it felt unreal.
The men combed his hair with practiced ease, and looking at Liu Qishan's elegant and refined face, they couldn't help but sigh.
"Young Master Liu's appearance is truly unparalleled in the world. Of all the men I have seen, you are the most handsome man I have ever seen. Even I am tempted to fall for you."
The man next to him teased him.
"Don't say that. Young Master Liu is going to marry Miss Jing. How could he possibly be interested in you?"
"You're so boring, I was just joking."
Liu Qishan listened to their voices but smiled without saying a word.
Suddenly the door was pushed open again. "I won't allow it! Qishan is my husband. How can he be taken away by someone else?"
"Miss Jing, what brings you here?"
Nalan Jingwen walked over and took the combs from their hands.
Liu Qishan smiled gently, "You've come?"
Nalan Jing responded and said to the men, "I'll take care of this."
The men left, and the door was thoughtfully closed for them.
Nalan Jingwen held a wooden comb in her hand and gently combed his hair.
“I know you don’t like crowds, so I only asked a few people to help you with your makeup. After all, I don’t know anything about this, so it’s better to have someone professional do it.”
Liu Qishan did not refute, feeling satisfied because of her understanding of him.
"But you let them go."
Nalan Jingwen pinched his fair and round earlobe, which felt very nice, and couldn't help but rub it a few more times.
She said, "I feel that I should take the final step."
Liu Qishan was unaware that his ink-black hair behind him had already been picked up.
Let me help you fix your hair.
He was about to ask her if she knew how when her hair was already tied up. He raised his hand to touch it and found a jade hairpin, which puzzled him.
This is not his.
One hand enveloped his hand and pulled him into its embrace.
"When you tied my hair up back then, I thought you were just being kind and helping me. Now that I think about it, I guess you meant the same thing as me today?"
Liu Qishan was taken aback, then chuckled softly.
"I thought you would never know."
Nalan Jingwen raised his eyebrows slightly and touched the hairpin.
"If I don't express my feelings, are you planning to keep it from me forever? Is that why you tied my hair up for me then, hoping to grow old together and stay by my side forever?"
The man could only tie up his wife's hair to express his longing.
"Let this jade hairpin be our token of love."
