Chapter 519 Sand Sea 13
Chapter 519 Sand Sea 13
"Huh? I... Ahhh..." Before Li Chu could finish speaking, Hei Xiazi pushed him down.
The sound of him falling and crying out in pain came from below. Hei Xiazi smiled and looked at Zhang Chuzhen: "Need any help?"
Zhang Chuzhen didn't reply, but walked over and jumped down. Hei Xiazi waited a while and then jumped down as well.
Li Chu was pushed down and fell, crying out in pain. Hei Xiazi pressed him to the side and massaged him.
Zhang Chuzhen looked around with a flashlight, observing what was inside.
In reality, her eyes were glazed over, and she was looking at a progress bar that no one else could see.
"Ouch, Blackie, it hurts!" Li Cu's cry echoed throughout the space, prompting her to turn her head and take a look.
As if sensing her gaze, Hei Xiazi turned his head and said, "Would you like to try my professional massage? It's very comfortable, and I can even feel your bones!"
Upon hearing this, Zhang Chuzhen turned away immediately, refusing to answer his question.
"You were just feeling my bones!" Li Chu tried moving his body and found that it didn't hurt as much as before.
Black Bear withdrew his hand: "Your joints aren't developed properly; your range of motion is only half that of mine."
Li Cu asked, puzzled, "What do you mean?"
"He has absolutely no talent for martial arts."
Upon hearing this, Li Cu shook his head, indicating that he didn't care much. He had never thought about practicing martial arts before, let alone that he would end up like this.
The two began to explore the room and eventually found a tape recorder.
Zhang Chuzhen didn't go over to listen to the tape recorder. She saw someone watching them from the shadows and walked over there.
As soon as she moved, the man ran away at high speed. Zhang Chuzhen was too lazy to chase after him and ignored him.
Thinking back to the story, it seems that the floor in front of the cabinet next to the door would collapse if you stepped on it.
She looked around, moved a stool over, and slammed it hard onto the ground.
With a bang—
Hearing the commotion, Hei Xiazi and Li Cu immediately turned around and saw Zhang Chuzhen standing there. They also stood up and walked over.
"You're a super strong girl, huh? You actually smashed the ground with one stool!" Black Bear jokingly said, shining his flashlight on the big crater.
"Let's go down and take a look," Zhang Chuzhen said, and then jumped down.
"Wow, that's fast!" He jumped down as well, thinking that apart from Zhang the Mute, very few people would clear the way for him.
The moment he stepped onto the ground, he seemed to lose his balance and leaned towards Zhang Chuzhen. Zhang Chuzhen quickly moved two steps away to avoid him.
Black Bear staggered a couple of steps, steadied himself, and stood up straight, jokingly saying, "Tsk, young lady, you don't even respect your elders and help an old man like me!"
"Your movements just now were too fake."
Black Bear, exposed but not bothered, smiled and looked at Li Chu above: "Hurry up and jump down!"
"How can you jump from such a height?" Li Chu hesitated.
"You won't die, I'll catch you."
Li Chu gritted his teeth and jumped down, and Hei Xiazi reached out to support his arm.
"Didn't you say you'd pick me up?"
"Isn't supporting you enough? You're a man, yet you're not as good as a girl?" Hei Xiazi gestured for him to look at Zhang Chuzhen, who was completely unaffected.
Li Chu forced a smile: "How can this be compared? Sister Chu Zhen is no ordinary girl."
Zhang Chuzhen ignored what they were saying and started moving around again to continue collecting energy.
There's a theater down here, and judging from the speed of the progress bar, she noticed there's more energy here.
The three walked over with flashlights and saw many snake molts everywhere.
Li Cu: "Why are there so many snake molts? Could there be snakes among them?"
“Very likely!” Black Bear said with a smile.
This place looks quite large; Zhang Chuzhen walked around it once and collected almost all the energy.
Hei Xiazi looked at the slender figure in front of him and walked to her side: "Are you interested in this place? You seem quite curious."
Zhang Chuzhen said absentmindedly, "It's so dark here, I just want to finish my tour and get out as soon as possible."
"You think you're here as a tourist attraction?"
"Pretty much." She just wanted to visit, which was similar to traveling, except the scenery here wasn't exactly flattering.
Hei Xiazi could sense that she didn't really like this place: "Let's try to avoid places like this in the future."
Zhang Chuzhen remained noncommittal. She wouldn't have come if it weren't for the mission. Wouldn't it be better to eat, drink, and have fun outside?
Li Chu took two steps, then suddenly knelt down and cried out in pain.
The two stopped talking, turned around, and shone their flashlights at the same time.
Black Bear stepped forward and asked, "What's wrong? Does your back hurt? Take your bag off so I can take a look."
Li Chu obediently took off his backpack, and Hei Xiazi patted him on the back. Li Chu immediately spat out a piece of something.
His eyes widened when he saw it: "What is this? How did it get inside my stomach?"
"The tentacles of the Nine-Headed Hydra Cypress, and they're a limited edition," Black Bear said mischievously.
"How disgusting!" Li Chu felt nauseous after seeing it.
Zhang Chuzhen took a few steps back, covered her mouth and nose, and turned her back.
To distract herself, she simply walked towards the aisle of the theater seats.
The dark environment, with many dead bodies sitting crookedly on the chairs, looked rather terrifying.
The progress bar would speed up as she moved around, and Zhang Chuzhen probed everywhere like she was searching for a signal on a mobile phone.
Black Bear: "You're pretty brave. Aren't you afraid of these things?"
Zhang Chuzhen didn't stop walking after hearing this, and said expressionlessly, "Scared."
She said she was scared, but neither her actions nor her expression showed any fear. Hei Xiazi smiled and smiled.
"You're not scared, but I am! This is terrifying!" Li Cu stood at a distance and didn't come over.
Hei Xiazi ignored him and shone his flashlight on the face of a corpse: "So young, what a pity, the skin is as smooth as if it just shed its skin."
Zhang Chuzhen glanced at it: "You're envious?"
"Not so much envy, just a sense of感慨 (gǎnkǎi, a feeling of mixed emotions, often including regret or apprehension)."
Li Cu: "Brother Hei, Sister Chu Zhen, let's go. It feels a bit creepy here."
Zhang Chuzhen had just finished looking around and headed straight out.
"Let's rest for a while before we go. I'll start a fire, and we can sit down and have something to eat," Black Bear suggested.
Zhang Chuzhen shook his head: "You all rest, I'll go take a look elsewhere."
She needs to gather energy as soon as possible; if she stays here, these corpses will wake up due to the high temperature and she'll have to fight them.
After Zhang Chuzhen finished speaking, she walked away to the side. When Hei Xiazi looked over, there was no one there anymore: "Hey, she left pretty fast."
"What should we do?" Li Cu asked.
Hei Xiazi smiled and said, "Let's rest first. I'm too old to have the energy of a young girl."
Could Li Cuneng say that even he, the youngest among them, felt tired?
After Zhang Chuzhen left alone, she could go anywhere without any hindrance; walls and such became mere decorations in front of her.
