Chapter 7: Don't Make Bad Facts Randomly
Chapter 7: Don't Make Bad Facts Randomly
Eve dragged the still bewildered March 7th along as they ran wildly through the space station.
"Sister Eve, where are we going now?" March 7 asked breathlessly.
Eve stopped, and March 7th stumbled along with her, almost falling again.
"Ah, Sister Eve!" March 7th looked at Eve with a resentful expression.
Eve ignored March 7 and instead opened the virtual map on her wrist.
"According to the map Himeko gave us, we are now in the support section of the space station, which has been occupied by the antimatter legion."
"Occupied? Occupied?" March 7th suddenly had a bad feeling.
“Look.” Eve’s gaze shifted to the side.
A group of predatory predators stared at them menacingly.
"Oh my god... oh my god..." March 7th was startled. "When did it appear?"
"In short, our mission is to rescue the staff in the containment module, as well as the main control module," Eve said earnestly.
"OK, I understand." March 7th gave an OK sign.
"So, which way do we get there?" March 7th continued to ask.
“Um…good question,” Eve said, slightly embarrassed.
"Huh?" The expression on March 7th's face immediately fell.
"It seems... well, not really 'seems,' to be precise, we're lost," Eve said with certainty.
"Sigh..." March 7th immediately covered her face.
She knew that her sister Eve had no sense of direction.
"Hey, why are you sighing like that? Do you even know the way?" Eve said, somewhat unconvinced.
"Ahem, well, I also..." March 7th immediately gave an embarrassed smile.
Yes, she knew it; Xiao Sanyue had no sense of direction.
Just then, the group of raiders couldn't contain themselves and charged forward.
You're just going to start chatting like this right in front of us? Don't we have any dignity?
The raiders' swords were itching for a strike.
On March 7th, they immediately put away their bows and arrows and prepared to give the roadside oil.
"Sister Eve, you stay here and cover the rear, I'm going over there first!"
"Hey, don't run around!" Before Eve could finish speaking, the group of raiders had already rushed to Eve's side.
"Go, Eve!! Don't worry, we won't run into the enemy ranks like last time," March 7th shouted.
“You…” Eve was speechless.
You're not going to run into the enemy ranks anymore, but I'm here right now!!
Eve's gaze turned icy as she looked at the group of raiders around her.
"A pawn destined for destruction? A blooming flower needs no destruction."
Eve said coldly, her eyes filled with icy light.
With that, Eve extended her hand.
The Book of the Sage's Forest suddenly appeared in her hands.
"Dense forest and countless stars."
Instantly, a large green magic circle formed in mid-air.
Below them were the horde of destroyed phantom soldiers.
In the blink of an eye, countless green light bullets rained down from the magic circle, striking the raider like a dense downpour.
"Bang, bang, bang—"
A barrage of bombardments erupted, like a nuclear bomb sweeping the ground, instantly obliterating all the raiders in the light.
“It’s over.” Eve closed the forest book, her tone resolute.
The magic circle vanished instantly.
In just a few moments, all the raiders have been wiped out.
After dealing with the destroyed Void Soldiers, Eve didn't linger and immediately headed towards March 7th.
I kept silently repeating to myself: Please don't let anything happen, please don't let anything happen...
A short while later, Eve arrived at the containment section.
But no matter how she looked, she couldn't find March 7th anywhere.
This immediately made Eve a little anxious.
"Help! Someone, please help!" Suddenly a voice cried out for help.
Eve frowned slightly and immediately looked in the direction of the sound.
A group of looters surrounded a man dressed in white.
The man looked like a researcher.
"It seems we need to get started," Eve sighed and said softly.
She then immediately rushed there.
The researcher collapsed to the ground, looking desperately at the approaching predator.
"Ah, I'm sorry, Ai-chan, it seems I can't keep my promise to go back and get married after completing this research."
"Goodbye, Ai-chan, I hope you're all alone..." The researcher closed his eyes in despair, muttering incoherently.
"Stop talking. You can't just make promises you can't keep, you know?" Eve's voice came through.
"Who?" The researcher opened his eyes immediately.
The group of raiders had vanished, leaving only a slender, beautiful white-haired woman in a white dress, with a blade of grass on her head.
"I'm from the train crew. We received a distress signal from your space station and are on our way to rescue you," Eve said softly.
"Thank God, you've finally arrived!" the researcher cried out immediately, trying to hug Eve's leg.
"Ahem, let go, no way." Eve smiled and gently dodged his hand.
Looking at Eve's smile, the researcher felt as if he were floating in a nebula in the universe, a gentle warmth that seemed to melt his heart.
The feeling intoxicated him, while simultaneously making him oblivious to the waves of raiders charging up from afar.
When the raiders were right in front of them, the researcher finally realized what was happening and frantically shouted, "They're charging at us!!!"
Eve had noticed the group of raiders long ago. A green light shone from her hand, which then transformed into a white, patterned pistol.
The White Branch Pistol, one of Eve's weapons, is made from the Sage's Forest Book and an ordinary pistol.
Its power is equivalent to that of a single "Echo of the Forest" bullet.
Eve smiled as she looked at the raider in front of her, then fired a shot with a backhand motion.
With a "bang," the gun no longer spewed out a tongue of fire, but instead emitted a beam of light that flew out of the hand.
The green beam of light shot out sharply, screeching through the air with a loud friction sound.
In an instant, the raider was struck by the beam of light, its entire body destroyed in the green glow.
But this did not deter the surrounding raiders, who still swarmed towards Eve.
"Looks like there are still some blind fools out there." A ruthless glint flashed in Eve's eyes, and another pistol appeared in her other hand.
“But it seems that the raiders don’t have eyes…” a researcher suddenly said.
“Uh…” Eve fell silent.
She glanced at the raiders, and it seemed they really were.
“Shut up,” Eve said coldly.
This completely ruined the atmosphere from before.
"But this..."
“I said, shut up.” Eve’s gaze toward the researcher turned cold, as if she could freeze him into an ice cube.
“Okay, fine,” the researcher immediately squatted down on the ground, drawing circles, and stopped talking.
Fine, don't say it then. Just a moment ago it was a gentle nebula, and now it's solid ice formed at zero degrees in outer space.
In an attempt to get revenge, Eve immediately set her sights on the raiders once again.
"Why don't you have eyes? It's all your fault." Eve's tone was very forceful and brooked no argument.
"Huh? Huh? Huh?" The group of raiders looked completely bewildered.
Hey, what does it matter to you if we don't have eyes?
"In short, you're all gone." A cold glint flashed in Eve's eyes as she declared her verdict.
"Bang bang bang..." Eve rapidly pulled the trigger with both hands.
Countless bullets burst from the gun, forming beams of light that swept towards the looters with the force of a storm.
In an instant, beams of light swept across the screen, engulfing all the raiders.
"Wow, that's amazing..." The researcher stared in disbelief at the scene.
"Hurry up, or they'll swarm us with more troops soon." Eve put away her gun and pulled the researcher along, planning to retreat quickly.
Although these raiders posed no real threat to her, there were simply too many of them.
"Okay, okay, ah, by the protection of the Star God, if I can get out of here alive this time, I will definitely go back and get married..."
Before the researcher could finish speaking, Eve flicked him lightly on the head.
"I told you not to make promises you can't keep, so hurry up and run!" Eve pouted and glared at him fiercely.
During that previous exploration trip, March 7th suffered quite a bit of bad luck because of setting ambitious goals.
Eve remembers it all very clearly.
What started as a civilian dispute escalated into a catastrophic event that wiped out a planet.
Eve was completely dumbfounded. Even Bennett couldn't have pulled off such an outrageous turn of events.
You guys really know how to have fun, do you always play this big?
That's utterly absurd.
